About Me
I am a skilled storyteller and communications professional with over 15 years of experience. I am passionate about using my writing abilities to drive positive change. For more than 15 years, I was the Senior Publications Editor at Tearfund, a leading relief and development agency that works to end poverty and injustice. In this role, I oversaw the production and distribution of Tear Times, a quarterly magazine that showcases the stories and impact of our work around the world.
With a master's degree in playwriting from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a strong background in storytelling, copywriting, social media and digital media, I use my communication and copywriting skills to craft compelling stories to raise funds and promote campaigns. I also collaborate with our global network of partners, staff, and supporters to source and feature diverse and authentic voices and perspectives.
My professional skills include: commissioning, writing and editing case studies for fundraising and other appeals; devising content ideas and providing stories, devising campaigns and case studies for a broad range of audiences; producing and coordinating overseas filming, and organising case-study gathering visits to communities; and managing copywriters, and freelancers, helping them to hone and develop their writing, creative and storytelling skills.

"As a freelance writer and proofreader reporting to Peter, I have always found him to be an excellent line manager: clear, fair, encouraging, organised and professional."
